The Pacers missed a golden opportunity to put the Thunder on the ropes, with a 2-1 series lead and a seven-point lead heading into the fourth quarter of Game 4.
Indiana went ice cold, shooting just 5-for-18 (27.8%) in the fourth quarter, missing all eight of their 3-point attempts, getting outscored 31-17 in the deciding frame. Pascal Siakam led the team in scoring for the game, with 20 points to go with eight rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Tyrese Haliburton scored 18 with seven assists, including eight of his team’s 17 points in the last quarter.
With their season potentially on the line, the Thunder leaned on the NBA MVP to carry them to an impressive come-from-behind victory. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, as the Thunder erased a deficit and sprinted to victory. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points, while Jalen Williams added 27. Of note, the Thunder struggled from the 3-point line, shooting just 3-for-16, but made up for it by making 34 of 38 free throw attempts.
