Kamilla Cardoso led the way with 15 points while Angel Reese had 12 points and nine rebounds in the defeat. Reese has struggled all year to finish at the basket, but her rebounding ability has been helpful at generating extra chances.
Connecticut is coming off a blowout loss against the Mystics, falling 104-67. It was a close game in the first quarter, but the Sun faltered from there, failing to score 20 points in any subsequent quarter. Tina Charles led the team with 17 points while Marina Mabrey and Jacy Sheldon each added 15, with Sheldon going an impressive 6-for-8 from the floor while Mabrey had eight assists and seven rebounds.
