CULLMAN, Ala. (WHNT) – Cullman County officials are gearing up for the annual Rock the South music festival.

Officials are asking people who plan to attend to act responsibly, drink responsibly and to take care of yourself and those around you.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said that law enforcement is not playing games when it comes to conduct next week.

“If you are going to be a knucklehead, then we are going to deal with you,” Gentry said. “We will have a mobile jail on site so if you are going to be doing knucklehead things, you know aggravating the neighbors in the area, you know if you think its okay to you know go urinate around their house or just causing problems then we are going to put you in that mobile jail. That’s where you’ll be, so you won’t get to attend the concert.”

Officials said that a majority of the calls they receive are medical calls due to either heat or mud. They want people to remember to drink plenty of water and to help those attending the event with you get medical attention if they need it.

Traffic plans for the event should be released soon.

Rock the South will run next Thursday through Saturday and feature artists like Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr. and Nickelback. For tickets and more information on the event, you can find it here.
