HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – There will soon be four new retailers headed to MidCity District on University Drive.

The recreational area is focused on “connecting people across the region by fostering culture and empowering community through music, arts, culinary, and technology” and it is home to the The Camp, Orion Amphitheater, Top Gulf, Dave & Busters, REI and High Point Climbing Gym. It is also home to several restaurants, residential units and office spaces.

Since their opening, MidCity has continued to grow. Now they will be adding to the resume.

  • Perseus Sound Bar – Huntsville’s first vinyl listening lounge, which will be a new mid-century modern coffee, cocktails,
  • X⁴ Fitness – is a high intensity interval training studio that offers strength, cardio, endurance, and mobility workouts. All in one 50 minutes class. These are designed for all fitness levels.
  • Savory Spice Shop – a nationally celebrated purveyor of fresh ground spices, handcrafted seasonings, and globally inspired blends. Savory spice offers everything from single origin spices and custom rubs to recipe kits and gourmet gifts.
  • VSL Nails – VSL Nails redefines the typical nail salon experience with a design-centric approach and premium service offerings. Known for its sleek aesthetic and expert technique, the brand delivers high-end nail artistry in a relaxed yet modern environment.

Prior to the birth of MidCity, the lot was home to Madison Square Mall. The mall was disassembled in February 2017, and in August of that same year The Camp opened, the original landmark of MidCity District.

MidCity District is a $2.2 billion mixed-use district, this 140-acre redevelopment when complete, will feature 1,850 residential units, 925 hotel keys, premium office space, and over 40 acres of outdoor gathering spaces.
