Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s school run for kids will create the ‘most dangers’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daily school runs with their two kids reportedly pose the “most danger” for them after they returned to the UK without taxpayer-funded security.

“It is absolutely the biggest area of concern,” a friend close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told The Telegraph in an interview published Sunday.

“It creates the most dangers.”

It’s unclear where Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, will attend school, but Harry, 41, and Markle, 45, reportedly plan to take them to school and pick them up as time allows.

According to the outlet, staff at Lilibet and Archie’s school already received notice of their attendance. Additionally, various policies and procedures have already been enforced, and teachers have undergone specific training.

Harry and Markle are awaiting an answerfrom the UK’s Home Office about whether they will receive long- term taxpayer-funded police protection now that they are residing in Europe. They were previously denied protection rights during visits to the UK.

The “Spare” author’s risk assessment was completed in July. However, he has yet to receive an answer, including whether the assessment included Markle and their kids.

Harry believes he was being denied protection because he quit his royal duties in 2020, and Scott Hamer — a former Metropolitan Police royalty and specialist protection officer — also thinks the prince hasn’t received a fair assessment.

“If there is a credible threat to him and his family, it should be objectively assessed,” Hamer told the Telegraph. “If there is a genuine risk, the state should provide protection. If not, that’s fine, but let him know.”

Hamer also defended Harry’s status as a non-working royal, saying, “It doesn’t matter.”

“It doesn’t matter whether he’s a working, or non-working royal,” he added. “The late Queen Mother got protection after she retired, as did Princess Margaret, as does every ex-prime minister. The risk doesn’t just vanish.”

The Telegraph also reviewed Harry’s 40-page risk assessment forms, which cited that he has had five terror plots against him in the UK over the years.

Additionally, the report revealed that the couple’s security team stopped an armed man, who carried a hammer and duct tape, at their Montecito, California, home in 2023.

The Duke of Sussex also told the Home Security office in August that he and his family were moving back to Europe for at least six months.

According to the outlet, the Duke of Sussex argues the evaluation for taxpayer security should be re-evaluated due to a “significant change in circumstances.”

Last month, Page Six confirmed Markle and Harry were moving back across the pondto be closer to King Charles amid his ongoing battle with cancer.

The bombshell move came after Harry told the BBC last year that he couldn’t “see a world” where he could bring Markle and his kids to the UK without security.

However, in July, the duo brought their own security team with them when they visited the UK with their little ones, and made the move back without funded personnel.
