Agents from both U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection were seen outside a Home Depot in Huntington Park on Monday morning.

According to Sergio Infanzon, the city of Huntington Park’s director of communications and community relations, officials received reports that ICE agents had arrived at the Home Depot on Slauson Avenue around 7:30 a.m.

Video posted to the Citizen App shows a convoy of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol vehicles in the parking lot and on Slauson, along with unmarked cars; an agent was seen hopping out of the truck and entering one of the unmarked SUVs while stopped in traffic.

Whether anyone was immediately detained is not known. According to Infanzon, Huntington Park Police Department officers are not involved, and no protests were initially reported.

Infanzon also noted that city officials got word of ICE agents in the neighboring city of Maywood.

Reports of ICE at Huntington Park High School could not be confirmed.

Early Monday afternoon, Infanzon told KTLA that the ICE agents had left the area and that no arrests were made as far as city officials are aware; they could not confirm the reports circulating on social media that one person was arrested.

“The City of Huntington Park remains vigilant and our police department does not engage in any activity dealing with immigration arrests,” he said.

ICE agents have been conducting raids in the Los Angeles area since Friday, when businesses in downtown L.A. and the Westlake District were raided and workers were detained.

On Saturday, a raid in Paramount drew a crowd of protesters there, in nearby Compton and in downtown. President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard to be deployed late that night, which angered both L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Sunday’s demonstrations escalated into chaos in DTLA, with protesters throwing projectiles at law enforcement, doing dangerous stunts and looting businesses. More than 40 people were arrested on various charges and at least 11 law enforcement officers from different agencies were injured in the violence on Sunday.
