Latin superstar Marc Anthony is endorsing Andrew Cuomo for mayor of New York City, Page Six has learned.

To coincide with Puerto Rico Day on Sunday, the “Ahora Quien” — who was born in East Harlem to Puerto Rican parents — threw his weight behind the former governor, citing Cuomo’s support for the island after a series devastating natural disasters.

The then-governor mobilized the New York National Guard to help with recovery after Hurricane Maria in 2017 and the earthquakes of 2019 and 2020.

In a video to be played during Sunday’s festivities and reviewed by Page Six, the eight-time Latin Grammy winner called Cuomo “a proud New Yorker who has been in the forefront every single time that Puerto Rico needs help.”

“I know for a fact that he stood by Puerto Rico not just in words, but in action, when he established the New York State Office for Trade and Tourism on the Island, deepening the relationship between New York and Puerto Rico. You know what that means to me,” Anthony, the former husband of Jennifer Lopez and father of her children Emme and Max, said.

“These are not empty gestures,” Anthony said, “They are proof of leadership, compassion, and commitment… When Puerto Rico needed [him], Andrew Cuomo was there. Period.”

Both Anthony and Lopez are longtime Democrat supporters. He endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

Cuomo resigned in 2021 after a series of sexual harassment allegations against him. No criminal charges were brought against him.
