The Golden State Valkyries (2-5) look to end a four-game losing streak on Saturday when they play host to a Las Vegas Aces (4-2) team that has won its past two games.

Golden State is coming off an 86-77 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. Veronica Burton led the way with 16 points for the team while Temi Fagbenle recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
But the Valkyries turned the ball over 19 times and allowed Phoenix to shoot 44 percent from deep, dooming the team in the loss.
As for the Aces, the team is coming off a 75-70 win over the Seattle Storm last time out. A’ja Wilson led the way with 19 points on 40.9 percent shooting while also adding three rebounds, three assists, three steals, and four blocks.
Rookie Aaliyah Nye played well off the bench, scoring 10 points despite shooting just 1-for-4 from 3-point range. Vegas has been running a very short rotation, so getting production from Nye and other bench players like Dana Evans and Tiffany Mitchell is important. Evans was a team-high +15 in the victory.
