EXCLUSIVE: Range Media Partners has signed in-demand comedic talent Edi Patterson for management, Deadline has learned.
Patterson received widespread critical acclaim for her performance as Judy Gemstone in HBO’s hit megachurch comedy The Righteous Gemstones, where she starred alongside fellow Range client Danny McBride, John Goodman, and Adam Devine. In addition to her standout acting role, she served as a writer and consulting producer across all four seasons.
The show marked a reunion for Patterson and McBride, who gave her a breakout role as the dangerously unstable, yet hilarious teacher Jen Abbott in McBride’s previous HBO cult favorite, Vice Principals.
Other previous work for Patterson includes playing the ill-fated maid Fran in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, the holiday action-comedy Violent Night (where she stars opposite David Harbour and John Leguizamo), and seven episodes of The Last O.G. with Tracy Morgan. Patterson also recently joined the Sonic the Hedgehog universe as recurring character Wanda Whipple in the series Knuckles for Paramount+.
Additionally, in the world of animation, Patterson has brought a wide range of characters to life in Thelma the Unicorn, The Great North, Ten Year Old Tom, The Simpsons, The Fungies, and Harley Quinn, among other titles.
Next up, Patterson returns to the screen as Heather, the eccentric bird-alien love interest opposite Alan Tudyk, in the upcoming season of Resident Alien. She’ll also appear in the indie comedy Brian alongside The Karate Kid‘s Ben Wang and Randall Park. A proud Main Company alum of the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles, she continues to be represented by CAA, Shafran PR and HJTH.
