Ana de Armas gushed over Tom Cruise — again — amid rumors that the two are dating.
While on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “Ballerina” Tuesday night, the actress spoke about her rumored beau after he praised her for her role in the upcoming action film.
“It makes me really happy and proud,” de Armas, 37, told E! News, when asked about Cruise’s comments. “It’s surreal that someone like him is liking the movie and supporting the film and celebrating other people’s films. It’s amazing.”
Cruise also spoke to the outlet on the red carpet, where he reassured fans that de Armas didn’t need any advice from him when it came to tackling the role of Eve Macarro.
“She’s got experience in action and she’s really good,” the “Mission: Impossible” star, 62, marveled.
Rumors that the duo were dating began to circulate in February when they stepped out for dinner together in London.
At the time, an insider told People that they were “just friends” and “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”
Cruise and de Armas’ hangouts continued into the following month, however, as they enjoyed a nighttime helicopter ride.
The Hollywood stars were photographed in good spirits after landing at the London Heliport.
Flash forward to April, they were spotted at the heliport again, this time with several bags and the “Knives Out” star’s dogs in tow.
The “Top Gun” star also celebrated de Armas’ 37th birthday with her in London last month, as they were seen walking through a park before heading to her birthday dinner later that night.
It appears they’ve tried to keep their alleged relationship under wraps, however. On May 3, they ducked in the backseat of an SUV while leaving David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash together, further fueling romance rumors.
One recent report claimed that Cruise was “courting” the “Blonde” star after he allegedly caught feelings for her following their work meeting in February.
“They’ve gone out on some dates, and it’s very low-key. It’s in the early stages, and he’s been courting her,” an insider told Us Weekly.
While De Armas has remained tight-lipped on where things stand personally between her and Cruise, she confirmed during a recent “Good Morning America” appearance that the two have a great working relationship — and are even collaborating on “a few projects.”
She teased one of the unnamed projects in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, telling the outlet that she was doing “crazy training” in preparation for it.
