Adam Sandler‘s iconic golf-bashing character is officially making a comeback. Netflix unveiled the first full trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 during their annual Tudum 2025: The Live Event this past weekend.
The highly anticipated sequel, nearly 30 years after the original 1996 cult classic, sees Sandler reprise his role as the titular golfer. The trailer teases a new era for Happy, filled with his classic sports rage and comedic antics, while also revealing a heartfelt new motivation: he’s back on the golf course to raise money for his daughter Vienna’s (played by Sunny Sandler) ballet school tuition.
Fans can rejoice at the return of familiar faces, including Christopher McDonald as Happy’s nemesis Shooter McGavin and Julie Bowen as Happy’s love interest Virginia Venit.
