Nicola Peltz praised her mom Claudia in a cryptic social media post as her ongoing feud with her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, heats up.
“I would choose my mom to be my mom in every lifetime. again, and again, and again,” reads the post the actress re-shared to her Instagram Story Friday.
Nicola’s post comes soon after it was reported that Victoria allegedly stole the show at her 2022 wedding to Brooklyn Beckham by hijacking the couple’s special dance.
A source previously told Page Six that Victoria made her petty move during Marc Anthony’s performance at the reception.
After Nicola, 30, and Brooklyn, 26, specifically chose Anthony’s “You Sang to Me,” as the song for their “romantic” dance, the “Rain Over Me” singer, instead called Brooklyn and Victoria — “the most beautiful woman in the room” — to come forward and share a dance.
“Everyone in the room witnessed what happened,” a source close to Brooklyn and Peltz told us, adding that the wedding behavior was just one instance in a “pattern” for the former Spice Girl.
“The shock was palpable. It was deeply hurtful. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a one-off. It’s a pattern that still happens to this day.”
Victoria and the rest of the Beckham family are allegedly “mystified” by the claims she “ruined” her son’s nuptials ceremony and left the bride “in tears,” a second source told Page Six on Thursday.
“[The newlyweds] had their first dance and a second, as is evidenced, and then Nicola had the traditional dance with her father,” said the insider, who was at the reception.
“Much later in the evening when Marc Anthony performed, lots of people got up to dance, and yes, finally, then Brooklyn and Victoria had a dance, as did David and his daughter, [Harper]. Everyone is mystified why that would have upset Nicola.”
It’s been reported that the fashion designer, 51, and her daughter-in-law have been feuding since the April 2022 wedding after the “Lola” star chose not to wear a wedding gown designed by Victoria.
Rumors of a growing rift among the Beckham family surfaced earlier this year after Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday celebration in March — and most recently, again at his second birthday bash earlier this month.
But, the feud could come to a close in the future as we’ve been told Brooklyn’s parents are hoping to mend their relationship.
“Brooklyn’s family adores him and will always be there for him. They just can’t deal with this nonsense anymore,” an insider told us.
