Trump faces fresh blowback over human ‘binkie’ Natalie Harp — from voters

Voters can’t stop asking one question about the White House: who exactly is Natalie Harp?

President Donald Trump’s 35-year-old constant companion — dubbed his “human binkie” for her round-the-clock presence at his side — is stirring confusion far outside the Beltway, according to The Daily Beast.

A new Daily Mail/JL Partners survey of over 1,000 registered voters, conducted online in the final days of August, found 42 percent of Americans believe more questions need to be answered about Harp’s role in the West Wing, while just 22 percent said they were satisfied with what they already knew. Another 36 percent said they simply weren’t sure what to think. Pollsters put the margin of error at 3.1 percentage points.

The curiosity splits sharply by party.

According to the report, just 29 percent of Republicans wanted more answers about Harp, versus a majority-leaning 58 percent of Democrats. Independents fell in between: 37 percent sought more information, while only 17 percent felt satisfied.

Much of the mystery centers on what Harp — also called the president’s “human printer” — actually does all day. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) offered one explanation for that nickname: “So what happens when something gets tweeted is [it’s] printed out. Natalie comes in, printed on a piece of paper, and hands it to him.”

Harp’s influence appears to run deeper than paper-shuffling — insiders have described her as a gatekeeper who shapes what content reaches Trump online, giving her outsized sway over his public messaging despite holding no formal policy role. Her backstory has also drawn scrutiny after a resurfaced video complicated her account of the health crisis recovery she credited to Trump’s political rise.
