EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed SAG and BAFTA Award-winning actor Jared Harris for representation in all areas.

Known for his work across film, TV and theater, Harris can currently be seen starring in Skydance and Apple TV+’s sci-fi series Foundation, based on the novels by Isaac Asimov. He plays the role of Hari Seldon, a mathematical genius who predicts the fall of a galactic empire. Between Seasons 1 and 2, he also led two indie features: Brave the Dark, directed by his brother Damian Harris, and Reawakening, helmed by Virginia Gilbert.

Last year, Harris completed work on two other starry features — the Cold War drama Reykjavík, directed by Michael Russell Gunn and co-starring Jeff Daniels and J.K. Simmons, and the untitled Kathryn Bigelow project for Netflix.

In television, Harris is perhaps best known for his Emmy-nominated work in HBO’s hit series Chernobyl, as well as key roles in AMC’s Mad Men, Netflix’s The Crown, AMC’s The Terror, and BritBox/AMC’s The Beast Must Die. He’s also appeared in The Expanse, Fringe, Carnival Row, The Other Boleyn Girl, and To the Ends of the Earth. He earned additional praise for his directorial debut on the “Time and Life” episode of Mad Men’s final season.

In film, Harris has been a go-to for everyone from Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) to Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Todd Solondz (Happiness), Jim Jarmusch (Dead Man), Sean Penn (The Last Face), and Kelly Reichardt (Certain Women).

Additional big-screen credits include Sony/Marvel’s Morbius, I Shot Andy Warhol, Igby Goes Down, Smoke, Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner Sunday, The Notorious Bettie Page, How to Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog, and Sylvia. The actor also notably voiced Lord Portley-Rind in Oscar-nominated animated feature The Boxtrolls and Captain Crow in Netflix’s 2022 hit The Sea Beast. Off screen, he exec produced The Ghost of Richard Harris, a documentary on his father that premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.

On stage, Harris is acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic. Earlier this year, he returned to the Royal Shakespeare Company – of which he was formerly a member – in Rupert Goold’s production of Hamlet. In 2023, he earned strong marks for his portrayal of Max in Matthew Dunster’s revival of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming at the Young Vic. Earlier stage highlights include RSC’s A Clockwork Orange (a musical adaptation arranged by U2), Ecstasy (New Group), Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2 (NYSF), Tis Pity She’s a Whore (NYSF), King Lear (NYSF), More Lies About Jerzy (Vineyard Theater), Humble Boy (MTC), and A Period of Adjustment (Almeida Theatre).

Harris continues to be represented by Independent Talent Group in the UK, Gateway Management and Production, and attorney Mark Wetzstein of Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
