An 18-year-old star basketball player who had only just joined the US Air Force has died after she was struck in a horrific jet ski hit-and-run in Texas, cops said while releasing a photo of the suspect.

The victim, Ava Moore, had been kayaking on Grapevine Lake in Grapevine on Sunday evening when two women on a jet ski allegedly plowed into her, according to police.

“Once she came out of the water, I had them lay her down and started helping at that point,” witness Lisa Scrabeck told WFAA. “Started life-saving measures to help the young girl.”

Moore — a standout basketball player and 2024 graduate of Fort Worth Timber Creek High School — was rushed to the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the woman driving the jet ski immediately fled the area in a car with a man — striking another vehicle as they left.

The other woman on the jet ski remained behind and was interviewed by cops.

Police blasted out a photo of the suspected jet ski driver in a bid to track her down.
