Donald Trump once again celebrated a holiday by lashing out, this time in an attack on the “scum” who are “trying to destroy our country” and “USA hating judges” who have blocked his deportation executive orders.
Trump wrote in all caps, “HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS, WHO ALLOWED 21,000,000 MILLION PEOPLE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER OUR COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM BEING CRIMINALS AND THE MENTALLY INSANE,THROUGH AN OPEN BORDER THAT ONLY AN INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WOULD APPROVE, AND THROUGH JUDGES WHO ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP MURDERERS, DRUG DEALERS, RAPISTS, GANG MEMBERS, AND RELEASED PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, IN OUR COUNTRY SO THEY CAN ROB, MURDER, AND RAPE AGAIN — ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY. His post followed a speech at West Point on Saturday where he veered off to advise graduates to avoid “trophy wives” and touted the administration’s efforts to end diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in the military.
A succession of judges have slowed or halted Trump’s deportation efforts, including orders that the administration had to give detainees due process.
On other holidays, Trump has previously taken to his social media platform, Truth Social, to attack rivals. On Easter, he also went after judges who have stopped his deportations. He wrote then, “Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country.”
