Netflix has officially released the chilling teaser trailer for Titan: The OceanGate Disaster, a new documentary film delving into the catastrophic implosion of the Titan submersible.

The documentary, directed and produced by Mark Monroe, promises an in-depth examination of the tragic 2023 incident that claimed five lives during a submersible tour to the Titanic wreck. The trailer uses a haunting tagline, “The deeper you look, the darker it gets,” and features experts revealing ominous warnings that “it was a mathematical certainty that it would fail.” It also includes unsettling accusations against OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, with one voice in the clip stating, “I thought Stockton was a borderline psychopath,” and another suggesting, “He wanted fame. To fuel his ego, fame.” The film aims to provide fresh perspectives on the implosion, utilizing whistleblower testimony, audio recordings, and footage from the company’s early days to uncover the shocking decisions that led to the doomed expedition.

Titan: The OceanGate Disaster will have its world premiere at the prestigious Tribeca Festival on June 6, 2025. Shortly after, it will be available for global streaming on Netflix, starting June 11, 2025.
