Disney has announced a release date for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Variety reports that the upcoming sequel is officially set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026. While reports from 2024 indicated the return of Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, a cast list is yet to be announced by Disney.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 supposedly focuses on Miranda Priestly (Streep), the esteemed editor-in-chief of Runway as she navigates her career and industry during the decline of print. She also now has to deal with Blunt’s character Emily, who has since moved on from being Miranda’s first assistant to a “high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
The return of original stars Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci are yet to be confirmed. Hathaway took the lead role of Andrea Sachs in the first film, while Tucci played Nigel, Runway’s fashion editor who befriends Andrea.
