The Indiana Pacers looked to be down and out in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks.

Tyrese Haliburton and company were down 17 points with just 6:26 left in the game after Karl-Anthony Towns hit a three-point shot. In fact, the Pacers were down 121-112 with just 58.1 seconds left in the game.

However, once again, Indiana found some magic behind Aaron Nesmith’s 20-point fourth quarter and unconscious three-point shooting and came back to force overtime on a Haliburton step-back jumper that bounced high off of the rim and fell down through.

In overtime, the Pacers outscored the Knicks 13-10 and closed out Game 1 with a win on the road to steal home-court advantage.

Following the shocking comeback victory, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark could not contain her excitement. She immediately took to social media.

“PACERS ARE THE GREATEST COMEBACK TEAM IVE EVER SEEN,” she wrote.

Clark has the same reaction that every Indiana fan is feeling. The Pacers now have three nearly impossible comeback wins in the playoffs this year. No matter what the score is, they simply cannot be counted out.

Plenty of fan reactions came in responding to Clark’s post as well.

“Another Hali masterclass,” one fan wrote.

A second comment read, “You can’t keep a good team down like the Pacers.”

“Indiana really blessed with great basketball,” a third comment said.

Another fan wrote, “This was definitely the craziest ending to the NBA I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. Wow.”

Haliburton led the way in Game 1 for Indiana. He scored 31 points on 12-for-23 shooting to go along with 11 assists. Nesmith scored 30 points on 9-for-13 shooting and 8-for-9 from the three-point line.

Outside of the two headline names, the Pacers saw Pascal Siakam score 17, Andrew Nembhard score 15, Myles Turner score 14, and T.J. McConnell score 10.

While this is just Game 1, Indiana has to be energized from yet another incredible comeback win. New York, on the other hand, cannot help but feel the heartbreak from blowing such a big lead late in the game.

Game 2 will be played at Madison Square Garden on Friday night at 8 p.m. ET. The Pacers will look to take a strong 2-0 lead, while the Knicks will try to pick up the pieces from such a demoralizing loss.
