Memorial Day is almost here and AAA reports a record number of Americans have plans for domestic travel.
Around 45.1 million people are planning to hit the road or catch a flight, the agency says. But where are they going?
Kayak used its search data to try to find out. It identified five trending cities based on a surge of search interest and five cities with the biggest price drops for last-minute travelers still looking to sneak in a trip.

Search interest in Colorado’s biggest city has surged 10.5% year-over-year, according to Kayak (BKNG).
Salt Lake City has seen a 13% increase in search interest year-over-year, Kayak said.
Search interest in the Oregon city has surged 18% year-over-year, according to Kayak.
Indiana’s largest city has seen a 21% increase in year-over-year search interest, Kayak said.
Search interest in the Florida beach city has surged 85% year-over-year, according to Kayak.
Tickets to Greenville are currently down 18%, according to Kayak.
Tickets to Des Moines are currently down 18%, according to Kayak.
Tickets to Pensacola are currently down 18%, according to Kayak.
Tickets to Richmond are currently down 21%, according to Kayak.
Tickets to Spokane are currently down 23%, according to Kayak.
