She’s a hair chameleon.
In a new interview with Australian network Channel Seven’s “Sunrise,” Nicole Kidman addressed her constant hair changes, including her buzzed-about Met Gala 2025 cut.
After much speculation about whether or not Kidman, 57, wore a wig on fashion’s biggest night, she set the record straight.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Did you chop your hair off?’ I’m like, ‘No, I did not,’” Kidman explained in the clip, confirming the hairpiece.
On the red carpet, the Oscar-winning actress debuted a two-tone pixie cut with a side part and long cascading bangs, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel.
Throughout her time in the limelight, Kidman has become known for adopting wigs for various roles.
In the recently-released trailer for the second season of Hulu thriller series “Nine Perfect Strangers,” which premieres on May 21, her character, wellness leader Masha Dmitrichenko, has an icy blond bob haircut with blunt bangs.
“[She’s] coming in [like a] boss,” Kidman said about the new ‘do while chatting with “Sunrise.”
Her “Nine Perfect Strangers” co-star Murray Bartlett, who was next to her during the interview, chimed in, “Epic. There were gasps on set.”
Kidman added, “It was very much because Masha has to re-create herself. She always has to. And as you know, I love changing my hair.”
Though most of her wigs look like the real thing, that wasn’t entirely the case on the Cannes Film Festival 2025 red carpet over the weekend.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kidman’s real locks were peeking out of the strawberry blond wig, with the shades contrasting a bit.
Meanwhile, the lace front was noticeable around her part, superfans noted.
Her now-signature blond hair is a complete departure from the red curls she had when kicking off her career in the ’80s, which were the result of a perm.
A natural red head, Kidman kept the striking color for her role in “Practical Magic” — though her iconic 1998 hairstyle was also a wig.
Clearly, the A-lister can pull off any look.
