Halle Bailey was granted a temporary order of protection against ex DDG, the father of her child, after claiming he physically attacked her multiple times.
The “Little Mermaid” star claimed in documents obtained by Page Six that the first incident of abuse took place in January following their breakup in October 2024.
Bailey claimed DDG — whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. — became annoyed after he arrived at her home to pick up their 1-year-old son, Halo, and she tried to discuss a visitation schedule.
As she was buckling the infant into his car seat, Bailey claimed the rapper repeatedly demanded, “Get out of my car, bitch.”
The Chloe x Halle singer, 25, became worried about leaving her crying baby with DDG, 27, in his agitated state, per the docs, which led to the former couple engaging in a tussle.
During the struggle, DDG allegedly pulled Bailey’s hair and pushed her face into the steering wheel, chipping a front tooth.
The actress stayed in the car for the ride to the YouTuber’s house, still concerned about her son’s safety, before detailing the alleged incident to his family.
Bailey said she left Halo with DDG’s family and felt “hysterical” after the alleged encounter.
She included photos of her chipped tooth and bruises on her arm in her restraining order request, which was granted by the LA courts.
The pictures show Bailey’s front left tooth slightly chipped and significant bruising along her right upper arm.
She also cited another incident from March when the rapper allegedly entered her home without permission and texted her a photo of her bed, writing, “now I know what u been on lol.”
She interpreted the message as an accusation she was having sex with other people.
Bailey claimed he returned several days later after she told him she and Halo were sick and she wanted the baby to remain at home.
DDG allegedly became verbally abusive, destroyed her Ring camera and took her phone during the encounter.
Bailey claimed he tossed her phone out of his car as he drove off, yelling, “Go get it, bitch.” The incident prompted the “Color Purple” star to file a police report.
She stated in the report, which she included in her request for protection, that she has Ring video footage of the encounter.
The most recent instance occurred last weekend when DDG allegedly accused her of being in St. Lucia with singer Brent Faiyaz — though she was on vacation with her son and sister Chloe Bailey.
“not with any man out here. i wouldn’t do that, i have halo … please let me enjoy my mother’s day in peace. i hope you are okay and feel better soon,” Halle responded in an alleged text message.
In another text, included in Bailey’s petition, DDG allegedly wrote, “free Halo bitch.”
Halle was granted the TRO, which protects both her and Halo and bans DDG from having firearms in his possession.
It also directs the rapper to stay 100 yards away from Halle and Halo, and states that he must not contact her either directly or indirectly.
Further orders not to abuse Halle through physical means or coercive control were put into place in the restraining order.
Page Six reached out to reps for DDG, but did not receive an immediate response.
Halle and DDG welcomed baby Halo in December 2023, and they split just 10 months later.
In November 2024, Halle called out her ex for livestreaming with their son, writing in part on X, “i wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.”
In a YouTube video just days later, the rapper told his subscribers he wanted to have another child with the “Grown-ish” alum.
“If I was to have another kid, it definitely would be with the same person,” he said in the clip. “I don’t want to have kids with multiple people. I feel like that’s just too much.”
