Summary

  • PSG and Evangelion collaborate on a new apparel collection
  • The line features T-shirts, jerseys and windbreakers in colors inspired by various EVA-Units
  • Releasing on May 26 across PSG EDIFICE stores and BAYCREW’S in Japan

Paris Saint-Germain has revealed a surprising apparel collaboration with Hideaki Anno’s legendary anime IP, Evangelion. Teaming up for the first time, this partnership merges the dystopian world of Evangelion with PSG’s refined sports aesthetic, using “Paris” as a connecting theme.

The collection is accompanied by a new illustrated visual depicting Rei, Asuka and Mari standing in front of PSG’s home stadium, the Parc des Princes. Centering on the concept of that puts enjoyment of the present moment over, the clothing range comprises simple wardrobe staples and wearable silhouettes.

From T-shirts, jerseys, windbreakers to flowy bottoms and accessories, the pieces are elevated with graphics and colors that nod to the iconic anime. Noteworthy pieces include the windbreaker and sweatpants set in Eva-Unit-01 and Eva-Unit-02-inspired colorways. Other standouts include the “BLOODTYPE PATTERN (BLUE)” T-shirt — a reference to Rei Ayanami’s unique physiological readings whenever she’s piloting an Eva-Unit.

The Evangelion collaborative capsule will be available across PSG EDIFICE and BAYCREW’S stores in Japan starting May 26. The collection will also be available to shop online at a later date. Check out some of the highlighted styles in the gallery above.
