EXCLUSIVE: Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction) is starring in under-the-radar action-thriler Seven Snipers alongside Radha Mitchell (Olympus Has Fallen), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four).

Currently in pos-tproduction having shot in the Australian outback in December 2024, the feature focuses on a retired sniper hiding out on an Australian ranch who gets her elite team of killers back together to protect her daughter when a warlord, seeking revenge, hunts her down. Above is a first look.

Capture, which will continue sales at this week’s Cannes market, has inked deals for Germany (Splendid), Spain (AContraCorriente), Eastern Europe, CIS and the Baltics (Daro), Benelux (SPI International), the Middle East (Phoenicia), Portugal (NOS Lusomundo), South Korea (Noori), India (Star Entertainment), the Philippines (Pioneer), Turkey (Moviebox) and Airlines (Ricochet).

The film is directed by Sandra Sciberras (The Dustwalker) from a screenplay by Andrew O’Keefe, and produced by Tristan Barr (Head Count) and Sciberras. Also producing are Grant Hardie, Ian Kirk, and Phil Hunt as part of an ongoing genre slate partnership between Monster Pictures Studios and Head Gear Films. Charlie Kemball serves as executive producer for Head Gear.

Capture’s Ella Field said: “We’re thrilled to unveil the first footage from our original action thriller Seven Snipers at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. It’s a privilege to work with the legendary Tim Roth, and to collaborate with Head Gear and Monster Pictures Studios in bringing this action-packed cinematic experience to the Croisette.”

Hardie added: “As our debut production under the Monster Pictures Studios banner, this film sets the tone for what we’re here to do; bold, elevated genre storytelling with global appeal. It’s been a privilege to collaborate with our brilliant partners and a massive congratulations to everyone involved.”

Hunt noted: “Head Gear has rapidly evolved in recent years, expanding beyond financing to play a hands-on role in development, packaging, and production. This film marks one of our early fully-realised projects under this expanded approach— now launched into the marketplace and building momentum ahead of its release to global audiences.”
