Dallas took the opener in a close 3-2 finish, before Winnipeg bounced back in Game 2, shutting out the Stars for a 4-0 win to even the series. With home ice now shifting to Dallas, the Stars have a golden opportunity to reclaim the lead, while the Jets will look to send the fans home unhappy with the result.
Nikolaj Ehlers powered the offensive attack in Game 2 for the Jets, scoring two goals while also recording an assist. Connor Hellebuyck was also fantastic manning the goal, with 21 saves and a perfect save percentage. Kyle Connor, the Jets’ leading point scorer during the regular season, has yet to get going, with no points through two games.
Mikko Rantanen single-handedly won Game 1 for Dallas by scoring his third goal and completing the hat trick in the second period of the Stars’ win, but he came back down to earth and was shut out in Game 2. Jason Robertson and Matt Duchene have combined for only one point so far, and the Stars desperately need them to pick up their performance in Game 3.
This is a great NHL Playoff matchup that will not disappoint; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
