Real power isn’t brute force – it’s influence, movement, culture. And right now, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is charging ahead with a bold movement called the HKSTP Innovation & Technology (I&T) Powerhouse to propel Hong Kong onto the global stage as a rising tech heavyweight.

This is soft power in action, driven by HKSTP’s six-pillared people ecosystem: Advisors, Partners, Alumni, Mentors, Advocates, and Creators. Together, they form a high-energy network of disruptors and changemakers ready to push progress forward and spark innovation through collaboration and influence.

To kick things off, HKSTP hosted Dawn of Visionaries, a landmark event to introduce I&T Powerhouse amidst a gathering of I&T’s brightest minds.  As a way to visually capture the lineup’s collective brilliance, HKSTP teamed up with Hypebeast to craft a striking visual identity and launch video. With the dusky blue and warm orange reminiscent of dawn, the colours symbolise the visionary thinking that will illuminate a new paths for HKSTP and innovation. Onstage at the event, HKSTP Chairman Dr Sunny Chai and CEO Albert Wong made it clear: when visionaries unite and persist, the possibilities are limitless.

Big names are already on board, with Dr Allan Zeman, Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, and Ambassador George Hara, Group Chairman & CEO of DEFTA Partners, stepping in as HKSTP Advisor. Zeman, believing in Hong Kong’s potential as a global tech hub, brings his out-of-the-box approach and expertise in branding and park experience to sharpen HKSTP’s positioning, while Hara’s investment and biomedical insights will set strategic portfolio directions for investment.

With 500+ corporate partners, 1,000+ investors, and 14 unicorns emerging from HKSTP’s ecosystem, the I&T Powerhouse may be freshly coined, but its impact isn’t new. Among the world-first innovations featured in HKSTP’s global Keep Up campaign, a global movement flexing Hong Kong’s innovation leadership, were Professor Dennis Lo’s non-invasive prenatal testing, which has saved millions of lives; DJI’s revolutionary aerial photography capabilities; and Archireef’s artificial 3D-printed reef tiles poised to keep the corals in our oceans alive. These breakthroughs prove Hong Kong’s I&T scene is unstoppable – and that innovators everywhere can drive real change, too.

The I&T Powerhouse is the latest phase within the Keep Up campaign, with partners like Cathay Pacific, Monocle, South China Morning Post, Fortune, Bloomberg and BBC, the campaign has reached over 19 million global audience across 240+ destinations and counting.

“We are rallying the world to keep up with our I&T Powerhouse. The latest global series brings together influential leaders in high-impact discussions that spark fresh perspectives and foster collaboration. We’re also fusing technology, art, and culture, using bold visual content to reimagine technology through an artistic lens and ignite cultural conversations that will shape the future,” said Hilda Chan, CMO of HKSTP.

Watch the Dawn of Visionaries launch video and see how the I&T Powerhouse is illuminating a new era of innovation, inviting the next generation of changemakers to harness technology for a better world. In the meantime, make sure you’re Keeping Up with Hong Kong’s world-changing innovations: https://stp.hk/4crOCXB
