GamesBeat Summit is back once again, and once again we’re holding the Women in Gaming Breakfast — our 10th, to be exact. At GB Summit 2025, we’ll continue our tradition of honoring the women in the industry and hearing their thoughts on the state of the industry. Since the theme of this particular show is “Back to growth,” this WIG Breakfast addresses one big questions: Now what?

I have the pleasure of once again moderating the WIG Breakfast talk, and I’ll be joined on the stage by Carla Bedrosian, Chief Legal Officer of Xsolla; Angela Dalton, CEO and CIO of Signum Growth Dot Play; and Nancy MacIntyre, CEO of World Winner. The talk takes place at 8:30 am on the start of the event’s second day, at the California Ballroom at our venue in Marina Del Rey. You can still register for the event now.

2023 and 2024 were years marked by struggle in the game’s industry, as the post-pandemic period saw thousands of layoffs, studio closures and a slump in growth. Now we’re starting to get back to growth, but what can we learn from those years of struggle so that we can better weather such storms in the future? How can we grow in a way that is sustainable and more crisis-proof than the industry previously was? These questions and more, the panelists and I will cover during the breakfast discussion.

The Women in Gaming Breakfast has previously covered serious topics in the industry such as games as drivers of positive global change, resilience and how to adapt in a changing world and navigating non-linear careers in gaming, among other things. This talk will be a continuation of those, as we put all of those lessons to work in our emerging growth period, aiming to make a better future for ourselves and future leaders in video games.
