Dick Van Dyke, 100, does wild workout routine in rare video

Dick Van Dyke is still exercising at age 100.

The TV icon shared an Instagram video over the weekend of him showing off his flexibility on a workout inversion table outside.

Van Dyke laid down on the machine horizontally and held onto the handles, before he put his hands behind his back and safely balanced on the table.

He wore a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants and slippers for the wild workout routine.

“1/2 workout inversion table,” Van Dyke captioned the clip, adding, “#keepmoving.”

Fans flooded the comments section and praised Van Dyke for being so agile and fit at his age.

“That’s it. I have to start exercising. What a legend!” one person wrote.

“That’s the way to do it Dick. Keep it going!” another fan said.

A third user joked, “Ok, it’s official: the rest of us have absolutely no excuse to not be exercising!!!”

“ok how is he more athletic then i am 😂 not fair,” a different fan commented.

Van Dyke has been open about how physical fitness is the key to his healthy lifestyle.

“Somebody said, ‘To what do you attribute your age and physical condition?’ I’ve always exercised three days a week,” he shared on Ted Danson’s podcast, “Where Everybody Knows Your Name,” in January 2025.

The “Mary Poppins” star added that he and his wife, Arlene Silver,“go to the gym still, and I think that’s why I’m not stove up like my equals.”

He also revealed that his workout routine includes a lot of stretching, sit-ups and yoga.

When Van Dyke turned 100 in December, he declared that he isn’t “afraid” of death.

“Death doesn’t really frighten me,” he said during an at-home interview with “Good Morning America,” adding, “although I’d like a lot more life!”

Just before his milestone birthday, Van Dyke reflected on aging in an essay published by the Sunday Times.

“It’s frustrating to feel diminished in the world, physically and socially,” he wrote.

Van Dyke explained that “almost all of my visiting with folks has to happen at my house,” noting that he has “feet problems” and poor vision and hearing.

However, Van Dyke said he’s stayed healthy for so long because of his positive mindset and active lifestyle.

“I have stubbornly refused to give into the bad stuff in life: failures and defeats, personal losses, loneliness and bitterness, the physical and emotional pains of aging,” he shared.
