The Avalanche won on Thursday 7-4, forcing the best thing in sports, a Game 7. The Stars held a 2-1 lead after winning both Games 2 and 3 in overtime, but they have given up 13 goals since, as Colorado’s offense has come alive.
Nathan MacKinnon showed why he led the league in assists and finished second in points during the regular season by scoring a goal and setting up his teammates with two assists in Game 6.
Roope Hintz did all he could to try to seal the series on Thursday, scoring two goals and having two assists. He was involved in all four goals for Dallas, but the Stars’ defense was not able to slow down the Avalanche’s offensive surge.
Dallas might need another big game out of Hintz and company, as they look to outscore Colorado rather than try to stop them.
