HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man found with over 30 grams of methamphetamine was arrested at a hotel in Huntsville on Thursday.
Huntsville Police said that officers responded to an unwanted guest call at the 4400 block of University Drive around 2 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers began to speak with hotel management who told police that there were people inside of a hotel room that needed to be trespassed from the property.
Officers then went to the room and spoke to an individual who dropped a homemade pipe that was used for taking illegal narcotics.
According to HPD, officers could hear another person in the room and asked him to step out.
The man that was asked to step out of the room was identified as Delonte Treyshun Love, 26, of Huntsville.
Officers then found a small bag of fentanyl that Love had on him. Upon further investigation, authorities found a separate bag with a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.
The total weight of drugs recovered was approximately 1.3 grams of Fentanyl and 38.4 grams of methamphetamine.
Love was arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking.
He was booked into the Madison County Jail and was issued a $1,000,000 bond.
