Meghan Markle, we beg of you, please drop your skin care routine. For her first podcast interview ever, the Duchess of Sussex joined friend Jamie Kern Lima on her eponymous show, The Jamie Kern Lima Show Podcast, wearing no makeup (Lima is also the founder of—ironically—the makeup brand It Cosmetics).
Between chats about raising children Archie and Lilibet and her newly launched brand As Ever, one thing was noticeable: Markle’s glowing, flawless, and makeup-free skin. Dark circles? None. Skin? Smooth and lit-from-within. Pores? Can’t see them.

Neither Lima nor Markle wore any makeup for the episode. As for why? In an Instagram post introducing Markle as her guest, Lima wrote that she and Markle “decided to do the episode the same way we spend most of our time together—with no makeup on, in our sweats, and cozied up in these two rocking chairs I have at my house.”
After seeing this, we’re dying to know Markle’s exact skin care routine. Though she hasn’t told us her precise steps to radiant, even-toned skin, she has given us a little glimpse into her skin care world. On her Shop My, she’s shared some of her essential skin care products, including La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream and The Serum Stick, Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream, Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream, and more. Many of these are Glamour beauty editors’ go-to products too: It’s safe to say the Duchess of Sussex has good taste. Adding these to cart ASAP.

The pair got emotional on the show, especially as Markle talked about motherhood and how proud she is of her children (she shared that she writes emails to her kids almost every day to share memories and notes for them to look back on one day). As Markle wipes away tears (“This is why it’s so nice to not have makeup on,” she says), as true beauty editors, we couldn’t help but notice her signature Sussex manicure, which gained popularity on her Netflix special With Love, Meghan, was back again. It’s a milky-nude color that she creates using two shades of gel polish: CND Shellac in Satin Slippers and CND Shellac in Romantique. She applies one coat of each to get the quiet luxury milk-bath nail look we know and love.

Markle herself also has her own podcast with Lemonada Media called Confessions of a Female Founder. For the fourth episode of her show, the roles were reversed and she had Lima on as her guest. The two friends got to talking about skin care for this episode as well, with Markle sharing, “I remember my commercial agent could not submit me for beauty or skin care ads because I had freckles.” She also added that “You couldn’t see yourself reflected there,” which is a sentiment all too familiar for many other girls growing up with freckles. We’re thrilled Markle wore zero makeup as a guest on Lima’s show, as we got to see her freckled complexion.
Next up, we’re hoping for a “get ready with me” video with Meghan Markle, so we can see her exact skin care routine, and TBH, copy it.
