Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a new collaboration for Overwatch 2, merging anime with gaming. This partnership highlights Gundam Wing, which was the first entry in the Gundam franchise to be broadcast on U.S. television. The collaboration also coincides with the anime’s 30th anniversary, celebrating its iconic mecha designs and enduring influence.

This limited-time event introduces Legendary Skins inspired by the mechas from Gundam Wing. Players can suit up as their favorite heroes, including Mercy as Wing Gundam Zero, Ramattra as Epyon, Soldier: 76 as Tallgeese and Reaper as Deathscythe. These character transformations bring an anime-inspired aesthetic to the game, bridging two beloved universes.

Event challenges will accompany the new skins, offering exclusive Gundam Wing-themed rewards for players. Items such as the Shinigami title and the Zero System spray add unique customization options to enhance gameplay. These rewards provide additional interactive elements to make the crossover event engaging and rewarding.

The crossover skins and rewards will be available for a limited period, running from April 29 through May 13. Watch the Overwatch 2 x Gundam Wing trailer above.
