The festival season is officially underway, and BACARDÍ launched it in style at Paaspop with an unforgettable moment that no one saw coming. In a buzzing CASA BACARDÍ, none other than Frenna surprised the crowd with an unannounced performance to celebrate the start of his new partnership with BACARDÍ. The collaboration marks the beginning of a creative cross-pollination where music, culture, and community take center stage, a magical moment of musical chemistry, high energy, and an unforgettable start to the summer.

Frenna, artist, entrepreneur, and label boss, embodies BACARDÍ’s core values of freedom, expression, and connection. His performance showed what can happen when people come together: a moment that stays with you. With this partnership and an unforgettable show, BACARDÍ kicks off a summer filled with legendary moments, with CASA BACARDÍ as the vibrant heart of Caribbean beats and rum-infused celebrations. Once again, CASA BACARDÍ was one of the most talked-about hotspots of the festival.

Born of Ghanaian descent, Frenna (Francis Edusei) is one of the leading voices in Dutch music. Global hits like “Ghetto Youth,” “Abloh,” and “Money Deh Yah” skillfully demonstrate the artist’s unique fusion of hip hop, afrobeats, pop, dancehall, and more. Frenna embodies BACARDÍ’s core values of freedom, expression, and connection, seamlessly blending genres to create a sound that resonates far beyond borders.

Frenna delivered an unforgettable moment at the buzzing CASA BACARDÍ stage with a surprise performance that electrified the crowd. Having set the tone for Paaspop and genre-spanning DJ sets to come, Frenna shared the following: “I wanted to do something different, something that stood out and brought people together. The energy was wild, and honestly, it started the moment we stepped off the mainstage. With my dancers around me, we moved through the festival grounds straight to CASA BACARDÍ for a surprise performance. It felt like a real takeover, people followed us, dancing all the way. That sense of connection was everywhere.”

Harnessing the brand’s mantra, “Do What Moves You,” BACARDÍ is hosting four additional festivals this summer to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the iconic BACARDÍ & Cola (endearingly known as BACO), a classic cocktail pairing born in dance culture and repped by global legends. This year, CASA BACARDÍ will make its debut at both Het Amsterdams Verbond (May 5) and Solar Weekend (August 1–3), while also returning to the much-loved Amsterdam Open Air (June 7–8) and Lowlands (August 15–17) — one of the largest and most iconic festivals in the Netherlands, where BACARDÍ has now been a vibrant presence for over a decade.

Across these stops, BACARDÍ will embody its spirit of authenticity, music, friendship, and the energy of summer, brought to life through vibrant celebrations of fashion, culture, and exceptional cocktails and drinks. With Solar Weekend marking its 20th anniversary and BACARDÍ celebrating more than 10 years at Lowlands, the brand once again honors its Caribbean roots by keeping the rhythm and “The Sound of Rum” alive across vibrant, diverse communities.
