President Donald Trump hailed a significant immigration enforcement operation in Colorado that resulted in the arrest of more than 100 undocumented immigrants.
“A big Raid last night on some of the worst people illegally in our Country — Drug Dealers, Murderers, and other Violent Criminals, of all shapes and sizes, and Judges don’t want to send them back to where they came from,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Why It Matters
The Trump administration is enacting large-scale removal operations as part of a hardline policy to deport millions of immigrants without legal status.
What To Know
On Sunday morning, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain shared a video showing an operation that occurred around 3:45 a.m. local time in Colorado Springs. In the video, hundreds of federal agents swarm a nightclub, apprehending patrons as they attempt to escape.
The agency’s account posted footage of agents detaining a group of men who tried to flee, holding them at gunpoint and ordering them to get on the ground.

“DEA Rocky Mountain led a multi-agency enforcement operation along with our local and federal partners early this morning,” the post said. “[DHS] has taken more than 100 illegal aliens into custody. Drugs and weapons have also been seized at this underground nightclub in Colorado Springs.”
More than a dozen active-duty military members were present at the club during the raid, and federal officials said that some of them were working as private security personnel.
The operation involved agents from the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the IRS, the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, and even the U.S. Postal Service, along with local law enforcement.
Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff for Policy and one of the masterminds behind Trump’s aggressive immigration agenda said that the “underground nightclub” was being used by the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.
What People Are Saying
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a post on X: “Thanks to the swift action in Colorado Springs by @DEAHQ and our law enforcement partners, over 100 illegal aliens were apprehended, drugs and weapons were seized, and MS-13 ties were disrupted. This is how we make America safe again.”
DEA Rocky Mountain Division Special Agent in Charge Jonathan C. Pullen said at a news conference Sunday morning, per ABC17 News: “What was happening inside was significant drug trafficking, prostitution, crimes of violence. We seized a number of guns in there. We had active-duty service members who were running security at the club and involved in some of these crimes. And in fact, we had over 100 illegal aliens inside as well.”
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on X wrote: “This morning [DEA] apprehended over 100 illegal aliens at an underground night club frequented by Tda [Tren de Aragua] and MS-13 terrorists. As we approach his 100 days in office [President] Trump’s directive to make America safe again is achieving results!”
