The story of the 2025 NFL Draft so far has been Shedeur Sanders.

No, the Colorado product wasn’t a first-round selection. In fact, Sanders wasn’t picked at all on Thursday or Friday, meaning the fourth round is the earliest the Colorado product can be selected.

Almost every mock draft had Sanders as a first-round selection. Even the most pessimistic analysts had the passer as a second-round prospect. Instead, five quarterbacks have already been taken while Sanders remains available heading into the final day.

The most quarterback-needy teams have already added a passer in this draft, so it’s hard to find a realistic landing spot. The Titans took Cam Ward, the Giants took Jaxson Dart, the Saints took Tyler Shough, the Seahawks took Jalen Milroe, and the Browns took Dillon Gabriel.

So, where will Sanders land? Let’s identify the most realistic landing spots for the passer before the fourth round begins.

108. Las Vegas Raiders

Unfortunately for Sanders, unless a trade happens, it doesn’t appear likely the quarterback goes in the first five picks of the fourth round. The Raiders own pick No. 108, though, and haven’t taken a quarterback yet.

The team did trade for Geno Smith this offseason, but the quarterback will turn 35 during the 2025 season and the team doesn’t have a clear heir-apparent. Sanders could fit in nicely in Vegas learning from Smith and legendary head coach Pete Carroll.

110. New York Jets

The Jets are another team that hasn’t drafted a quarterback yet but likely will before the draft ends.

Justin Fields was brought in this offseason, but the quarterback only inked a two-year deal. Sanders could have a higher ceiling than Fields and would provide some competition for the former top pick.

The Jets have used their first few picks to improve the roster, so they could afford to take a swing on Sanders in the fourth round.

117. Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson was a recent first-round pick by the Colts, but the quarterback has struggled mightily and even got benched at one point last season.

As a result, the team added veteran Daniel Jones in free agency to compete with Richardson. It’s possible the team is comfortable with that duo, but Sanders could have more potential than either.

If the Colts aren’t satisfied with Richardson and Jones, Sanders would be a perfect low-risk, high-reward option at this point.

123. Pittsburgh Steelers

A ton of mock drafts had the Steelers taking Sanders with the No. 21 pick. Would the team jump on the chance to take the passer 100 picks later?

It’s widely believed that Aaron Rodgers will end up signing with the Steelers. However, a 40+ year old quarterback isn’t a long-term solution, so the team could still be interested in Sanders regardless.

Landing in Pittsburgh behind a sturdy offensive line and with a solid coaching staff could be the best case scenario for Sanders at this point.
