Adult Swim has released the official trailer for Rick and Morty Season 8, offering a glimpse into the interdimensional duo’s upcoming adventures. The trailer teases the return of familiar characters such as Space Beth and introduces new conflicts involving the Galactic Federation and other Ricks.

Season 8 continues the narrative set by Season 7, which delved into Rick’s introspective journey as he confronted personal challenges and explored his motivations for adventuring. This transition also marked a significant shift behind the scenes, with Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden taking over the roles of Rick and Morty following Justin Roiland’s departure. Despite these changes, Season 7 successfully preserved the show’s core identity, balancing existential themes and comedic elements.

The trailer highlights several intriguing elements, including Jerry encased in a crystal and the return of the Gromflomites. It also hints at new settings and character designs that deepen the exploration of the multiverse. Unique storylines involving Space Christians and mob justice add to the season’s eclectic narrative, while the presence of additional Ricks suggests further revelations about the Citadel’s mysteries.

With ten episodes lined up, Rick and Morty Season 8 promises a mix of sci-fi adventures, emotional undertones and comedic chaos. The new season will premiere on Adult Swim this May 25. Watch the latest trailer above.
