PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Three Indiana men are now facing multiple charges after being pulled over in Priceville on Wednesday.
Officers pulled a vehicle over along I-65 SB around 9:35 p.m. Once making contact with the individuals inside the vehicle, several indicators led authorities to believe the people inside were involved in criminal activity.
Upon further investigation, officers learned that William Bradley Ellis, 35, of Indianapolis Indiana, had an active felony warrant out of Illinois with full U.S. extradition for being a prohibited person with a firearm along with multiple caution flags.
Once Ellis was detained, PPD’s K-9 Kilo gave a positive alert for narcotics being inside the vehicle which led to a narcotics field investigation.
As a result, a quantity of methamphetamine, methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, crack cocaine, as well as a variety of drug paraphernalia items were all found inside the vehicle.
Priceville Police said that Jason Edward Marcum, 42, of Shelbyville, Indiana and Roger Lee Weaver, 60, of Indianapolis, Indiana were also arrested. All three men was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
According to PPD, Marcum was found to have an additional drug paraphernalia item on him during the booking process.
William Bradley Ellis was charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, operating a vehicle with a secret compartment, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of brass knuckles, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $470,000 bond and has a hold placed on him for authorities in Illinois.
Roger Lee Weaver was charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled substance two counts, tampering with physical evidence, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $465,000 bond.
Jason Edward Marcum was charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and promoting prison contraband 2nd degree. He received a $405,000 bond.
