PHOENIX — Renovations are coming to 16 Walmarts across Arizona, including several in the Valley.
The store remodels will make shopping easier for customers, according to a Wednesday announcement from the company.
Walmart renovations coming to 16 stores across Arizona
These are the changes coming to various Walmarts around the state:
- Big new signage and displays that better showcase merchandise.
- Expanded departments and new items to offer customers a wider range of things to buy.
- An expansion of the online pickup and delivery department to more quickly complete online customer orders.
- Wider aisles in the pharmacy section.
- Private areas in the pharmacy for people to check out.
- New private screening rooms in the pharmacy.
Walmart also said it promoted 2,756 Arizona workers last year.
Which cities are getting Walmart renovations?
Five Walmarts in Phoenix are getting remodels:
- 6150 S. 35th Ave.
- 4617 E. Bell Road
- 2020 N. 75th Ave.
- 6550 W. Happy Valley Road
- 2501 W. Happy Valley Road Suite 34
Two are in Goodyear:
- 14200 W. Indian School Road
- 1100 N. Estrella Parkway
Two more are in Tempe:
- 800 E. Southern Ave.
- 1380 W. Elliot Rd.
Here are the other cities and towns getting renovated Walmarts:
- Gilbert: 2501 S. Market St.
- Chandler: 1900 E. Chandler Blvd.
- Lake Havasu City: 5695 Highway 95 N.
- Mesa: 1916 S. Lindsay Road
- Taylor: 715 N. Main St.
- Queen Creek: 1725 W. Hunt Highway
- Glendale: 5010 N. 95th Ave.
The Arizona stores are 16 of 650 U.S. stores across the U.S. that Walmart is remodeling.
