Doechii Envisions “Anxiety” in Captivating, Cinematic Music Video

As the track continues to top the charts, Doechii has delivered the official music video for “Anxiety,” yet another striking visual brought to life by the Swamp Princess.

Doechii teamed with director James Mackel on “Anxiety”‘s cinematic visual, determined to do it big for the “Somebody That I Used To Know”-sampling song, which marks her first single to enter the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100.

The visual opens with a homage to Doechii’s “COVEN MUSIC SESSION,” on which she premiered “Anxiety” in May of 2020. The nostalgic offering quickly became one of Doechii’s most popular “COVEN MUSIC” cuts.

In the captivating music video, she starts off posted up in her bed – in front of the same tapestry that hangs behind her in the OG “COVEN MUSIC SESSION” visual – of her elegant mansion, which quickly becomes the scene of many anxiety-inducing crimes.

Donning a white MIU MIU top, Doechii is carried out of her bed into her living room. Shortly thereafter, a brigade of burglars breaks in through the windows as a dinner goes down at the dining room table, two Shining-esque twins stare at one another on the couch and a house fire breaks out in the kitchen.

Gotye and Kimbra even make a cameo in front of the “Somebody That I Used to Know” cover art as chaos continues to ensue – complete with appearances from an elephant, a Doberman Pinscher and a flash mob.
