Wondering what to wear with white jeans? Of course you are: The warmer days of spring and summer invite us to swap out our dark clothes in favor of brighter tones. Which is why knowing how to style white jeans becomes an essential skill.
Because with winter in our rearview mirrors, it’s time to peel off the black puffers and gray jeans and swap them for warm-weather pieces like our favorite white jeans. There’s no shortage of spring trends to explore—curtain dresses and comfy boat shoes among them—but those can be tricky and fleeting. However, with a few solid styling tips, wearing white jeans will get you much farther than any fad.
As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of color (blue jeans included), I find it quite easy to style white jeans. Some of my favorites include the classic white-on-white ensemble, mixing different neutrals, and my go-to blazer outfit. But it took years of practice and experience to hone my skills at styling white jeans. So to serve you some inspiration, I pulled together a variety of white jeans outfit ideas. That way, we can both look our chicest in 2025. (Because yes, you can—and should—wear white jeans year round.)

1. With a blazer
My favorite way to wear a pair of white jeans is with a classic black blazer. Where denim can be more casual, a blazer will add a touch of sophistication to the look. This makes it an ideal office outfit, especially with a pair of loafers, and a black and white color scheme never fails to impress either. Adding an accessory like a belt helps tidy up the ensemble, and it’s an easy way to look put together with minimal effort. Also, take note: Straight-leg or wide-leg styles play best with this look.

2. An all-white ensemble
I get it, wearing an all white ensemble can feel daunting—who really is that meticulous at keeping stains at bay? But if you trust your ability to stay away from sauces and splatters, then a monochrome outfit is exactly what you need, especially when Labor Day comes around. Feel free to play around with some interesting cuts or textures here too. For outfit inspiration, I recommend a cropped button down, as seen above, or even a white vest. Step into some with some slinky sandals and grab a white bag to match.

3. With a leather jacket
Leather jackets are one of those year-round essentials, and they just so happen to pair perfectly with white jeans. Not only do they add an air of nonchalance, but they can easily be styled over various tops, from white T-shirts to button-downs and crewneck sweaters. I would pull the look together with a sporty-chic cap and call it an easy Sunday brunch outfit. Too heavy for your spring outfit? Suede jackets are a good alternative—they’re on-trend right now and tend to be little lighter than leather, but have a similar effect.

4. A casual cardigan
The secret to elevating a simple cardigan is accessorizing it appropriately. That means clean white jeans, thick hoops, a pair of shades, and your favorite bag. Personally, I’m a fan of matching white jeans with other neutrals, but if you want to take this opportunity to show off your bright pink cardigan, go ahead and do so.

5. With a button-down
Button-downs and white jeans go together like sunscreen and the beach. And if you’re toying with the idea of participating in the skinny jeans trend, button-downs are a safe way to go about styling the controversial denim. I have a selection of thrifted Ralph Lauren button downs hanging in my closet, and they never look quite as posh as they do when I wear them with my white jeans.

6. With combat boots
I love the juxtaposition of a clean, crisp white jean with something rugged like combat boots—it keeps the audience guessing what type of personality you’re bringing to the table that day. As we hop over puddles left by springtime showers, it’s not only a stylish ensemble but a practical one, too. To keep the attention on the shoes, I would opt for a simple tank top or white shirt, then throw over an oversized jacket if it gets too cold.

7. With butter yellow
You heard the word: Butter yellow is the It Color of the moment. Now, perhaps you jumped on the trendy color early and find yourself with several butter yellow tops you don’t know how to style. Luckily, you can wear them over white jeans. They’re both light hues that, when combined, make perfect summer outfits. And as a general rule of thumb, pastels look better over white pants than they do with blue jeans.

8. With animal prints
If you want to style white jeans with a printed top or jacket, take a look at what kind of print you’re working with first. If it’s something like a cow or zebra print, then the white spots tie into the white pants and make a great combo. Anything with too many color combinations, however, could clash quickly.

9. With a trench coat
Spring is the season of trench coats, and it just so happens that the classic shade of beige works wonders with white jeans. As a matter of fact, all neutral colors, spanning from oat to brown and even khaki, can be styled with white denim to deliver a streamlined ensemble. To accessorize, I would add a pair of retro sunglasses, as pictured.

10 With riding boots
A trend I can get behind: the equestrian outfits. You don’t have to be a horse girl to dress like you’re about to ride into the sunset. Skinny jeans, riding boots, and turtlenecks are your best companions here, and if you have a barn jacket, even better.
