Dexter Morgan returns to Paramount+ in a new sequel for Showtime. The streamer has revealed first look images of the upcoming series Dexter: Resurrection. The show comes hot off the heels of the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin.
Michael C. Hall reprises his role as the vigilante serial killer, Dexter Morgan. The latest series follows the events of the 2021 limited series, Dexter: New Blood which saw him revived after he was shot by his son Harrison played by Jack Alcott. The synopsis states that the series follows Dexter “as he grapples with his actions and the potential consequences, including the return of his late adoptive father, Harry (James Remar), and a possible new mission from an underground network.”
In Resurrection, David Zayas also reprises his role as Detective Angel Batista from the original series. Newcomers include a range of celebrity favorites including, Uma Thurman as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater. Guest stars for the upcoming series will also see Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian. Clyde Phillips is the showrunner and sees Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, with Marcos Siega serving as producing director.
Dexter: Resurrection premieres this summer.
