The second trailer for Danny Boyle‘s long-awaited post-apocalyptic horror film, 28 Years Later has arrived. Sony Pictures reveals the new trailer, returning fans to a United Kingdom, plagued by the infected undead. Written by Alex Garland and directed by Boyle, the film is the third in the series following 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected, but other survivors as well.”

The film stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell and Alfie Williams. Cillian Murphy, who was in the original film, is slated to executive produce the upcoming sequel, but it is currently uncertain if he will have a cameo.

28 Years Later premieres in theaters on June 20.
