Cho-Gi-Seok, a renowned Korean photographer and founder of KUSHIKOHC, has launched CGS, his first fragrance brand. The debut collection, COEXISTENCE, introduces three distinct perfumes: “FLOWER STUDY”, “LOVE AND HATE” and “BAD DREAM. Each fragrance reflects a unique concept and design that combines artistic vision with olfactory elegance.

“FLOWER STUDY,” described as “a scent of a new beginning,” features a romantic, dark design with a matte-black magnolia-shaped cap. Its formula opens with citrus notes and white florals, complemented by a refreshing cypress breeze. Musk and sandalwood create a warm base, enriched by woody patchouli and softened with subtle hints of vanilla.

“LOVE AND HATE” presents a bold metallic design, with a cap sculpted as a male torso embossed with a heart and angel-and-demon wings. Touted by its makers as “a scent of love entangled in innocence and desire,” this fragrance blends green tea tree and pine with spicy cardamom and coriander, supported by comforting cypress and Artemisia. Rose and jasmine add a sweet touch, while agarwood, incense, patchouli and sage provide depth. While musk and rum leave a sensual, lingering trail.

“BAD DREAM,” described as “drifting like a deep dream,” combines exotic spices such as saffron, cinnamon and clove with tobacco smoke, revealing gentle notes of rose and iris. The scent deepens with the warm nuttiness of tonka bean and vanilla, evoking a sense of ecstatic transcendence.

Each extrait de parfum comes encased in specially designed packaging, priced between $79 USD and $85 USD, with the full set of three available for $220 USD on the CGS official webstore.
