WASHINGTON — The suspect accused of firebombing a Tesla showroom and a Republican Party office in New Mexico was hauled out into the street shirtless following an FBI raid early Saturday, photos obtained by The Post show.
Jamison Wagner, 40, was led away by FBI counterterrorism task force agents in a pair of shorts — and little else.
The lipstick-wearing Wagner, listed as a member of LGBT group “500 Queer Scientists,” is charged with two counts of malicious damage or destruction of property and faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.
Wagner is accused of carrying out an arson attack on a Tesla Albuquerque showroom on Feb. 9, lighting up two vehicles and spray-painting other cars and the building with swastikas and graffiti.
Then, on March 30, Wagner allegedly attacked the Republican Party New Mexico office, damaging the front entrance and spray-painting the building with the inscription “ICE=KKK.”
Law enforcement officials tracked down Wagner with the help of surveillance footage after identifying a car linked to the surveillance attacks as a white 2015 Hyundai Accent.
During a search of his home, investigators located a stencil with the phrase “ICE=KKK” as well as eight suspected incendiary devices.
“Following Attorney General Bondi’s leadership, Director Patel immediately took steps to have the FBI quickly locate and arrest domestic terrorists attacking Tesla facilities — and we’re glad to see the latest operation succeed not just in this effort, but also bring to justice the same alleged attacker of the New Mexico Republican Party from February,” FBI spokesperson Ben Williamson told The Post.
“Our FBI teams and law enforcement partners continue to do a tremendous job.”
Wagner’s arrest is the latest in the FBI’s crackdown on Tesla attacks across the country following Democrat outrage against President Trump’s right-hand man Elon Musk, who his critics say has too much influence as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
Wagner’s alleged graffiti at the Tesla dealership targeted Musk, spelling out “Die Elon,” “Tesla Nazi Inc,” and “Die Tesla Nazi,” according to a report from the Department of Justice.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel had vowed to go after Tesla attacks with maximum strength, with Bondi labeling the acts “domestic terrorism” and Patel unveiling an FBI task force dedicated to finding the culprits.
The FBI taskforce — announced last month — deploys agents and intelligence analysts from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in the Treasury Department — and personnel from the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division.
Bondi announced Monday that Wagner would not be offered a plea deal, telling Fox News’ Jesse Waters, “these people thought they could get away with it. They can’t.”
“Let this be the final lesson to those taking part in this ongoing wave of political violence,” Bondi said in a DOJ statement. “We will arrest you, we will prosecute you, and we will not negotiate. Crimes have consequences.”
