HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Are you ready to break a sweat? The 2025 Fitness in the Park series is coming to the Rocket City.
The series will kick off on Saturday, May 3, with a Burn Boot Camp workout in Big Spring Park West. Afterward, the Mayor’s Bike Ride will start at 11 a.m.
Fitness in the Park will be on Saturdays in May and June from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Each free session will feature a different workout and instructor.

- May 3: Boot Camp with Burn Boot Camp, Big Spring Park West
- May 10: Pure Barre with Pure Barre Huntsville, John Hunt Park
- May 17: Zumba with M.E.R.C. Fitness Asylum, John Hunt Park
- May 24: Zumba with Angie, John Hunt Park
- May 31: Pilates and Balance Fusion with Steady for Life, Sandra Moon Community Complex
- June 7: Resilience Yoga with Sheila, Legacy Park
- June 14: Kardio Dance Fitness with Karissa, Legacy Park
“We’ve got a great lineup for Fitness in the Park this year,” Huntsville Parks & Recreation Wellness and Fitness Coordinator Kevin Ready said. “Whether you’re just getting started on your wellness journey or looking to mix things up, this is a fun, accessible way to stay active and try something new.”
The sessions are open to anyone 16 years and older, and minors must be with an adult. In case of inclement weather, check the Healthy Huntsville Facebook page for updates.
“Fitness in the Park is a great way to start your Saturday,” said James Gossett, Parks & Recreation Director. “Since our usual location is under construction, we’re exploring new parks in Huntsville, so you can enjoy fresh places while staying active.”
