Patrick Schwarzenegger’s fiancée, Abby Champion, was just as shocked by the actor’s incestuous scene in “The White Lotus” as fans.
“I didn’t tell anybody,” he said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday.
Schwarzenegger, 31, teased Champion, 28, for “nagging [him] nonstop” as soon as he booked his role as Saxon Ratliff in Season 3.
“She was like, ‘You gotta tell me who dies.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not telling you who dies! I signed my life away. Mike [White, the show’s creator] will fire me,’” he remembered.
“And she was like, ‘OK, fine. Just tell me, do you hook up with people?’ And I was like, ‘Baby, you know “The White Lotus.” I can’t tell you this information.’ She was like, ‘Just tell me, do you get with people?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I do.’ And she was like, ‘Who? Which girls do you get with?’ I was like, ‘I can’t tell you!’”
Champion was in for a rude awakening when Episodes 5 and 6 aired and she saw Saxon kiss and get a hand job from his younger brother, Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola), during a night of drunken escapades.
“She was like, ‘You got with your brother?!’” Schwarzenegger recalled as Jimmy Fallon burst out laughing.
Nivola, for his part, had a much harder time keeping the plot close to the vest.
“I told my parents, but I haven’t told my sister. She’s bad at keeping secrets,” the “Perfect Couple” star, 21, previously admitted to Variety.
“I’m not supposed to have told anyone, because I’m under a lot of NDAs. But I told my girlfriend [Iris Apatow] because she was there while we were shooting it. That’s about it. I’m really scared about getting sued by HBO.”
Schwarzenegger, Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook played the three children of embattled financier Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs) and his lorazepam-addicted wife, Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey), in the HBO anthology series.
The cast shot Season 3 on location in Thailand, where Schwarzenegger and Champion were photographed enjoying time on the beach during breaks in his schedule last year.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2023 after eight years of dating.
The son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver has since shared that he and the model plan to tie the knot this summer.
