Disneyland is giving guests a chance to shape the magic during its 70th anniversary celebration, with an interactive twist during the brand-new show, “World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure.
Each evening ahead of the first performance of “World of Color—Happiness!” park guests at DCA can vote via the Disneyland app for one of four different emotions—sadness, anger, disgust, or envy—to see them featured in special scenes throughout both of the shows that night.
Push notifications and location services for the app have to be enabled for voting.
“World of Color Happiness!” will explore happiness through a kaleidoscope of emotions, hosted by Joy and the other emotions from Pixar Animation Studios films “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2.”
The nighttime spectacular will also feature an interactive experience, encouraging guests to sing and dance along, as well as a special performance of “Rainbow Connection” by Boyz II Men and an original song by Fitz of Fitz and the Tantrums.
The Muppets will also share a special message ahead of “World of Color Happiness!”
In addition to the interactive element during “World of Color – Happiness!,” guests can enjoy a new two-hour guided walking tour celebrating Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, themed Magic Shots with Disney PhotoPass, and new MagicBand+ interactions.
