Levi’s and Denim Tears are running it back for a fourth season.

Inspired by New Orleans and the Black Masking Indian tradition, the duo’s latest collection highlights the artistry and culture of the Young Seminole Hunters and the Big Chief Demond Melancon with eight pieces designed to combine heritage with modern streetwear.

Standout silhouettes include the Photo Trucker Jacket, which is based on the Type III design and features imagery of the Young Seminole Hunters wearing their traditional ceremonial garb, as well as the Photo Jeans, which boast similar photography on trousers akin to the 568 Stay Loose jeans. Notably, both pieces are made intentionally imperfect so that no two items are the same.

Elsewhere, track jackets and pants employ mid-indigo washes and host cotton fleur de lis prints. Crewneck sweatshirts are emblazoned with the same artwork, while baseball T-shirts pay homage to Southern tablecloth patterns.

“New Orleans represents a unique intersection of African, Indigenous, and French cultural influences that have shaped American identity in profound ways,” said Denim Tears’ Tremaine Emory. “This collection honors the sacred traditions of the Mardi Gras Indians while recognizing their continued relevance in contemporary culture. The intentional imperfections in our printing process reflect the human touch behind these traditions – something that can’t be mass-produced or replicated.”

Levi’s latest Denim Tears collaboration will launch online globally, in select Levi’s stores, and at African Diaspora Goods on April 4. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
