Discovery+’s latest true crime series will examine the Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni feud that has dominated headlines so far this year.
Baldoni vs Lively: A Hollywood Feud [working title] follows similar Discovery+ shows on Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard and Rebekah Vardy vs Coleen Rooney.
Coming to Discovery+ in June, the show will follow the twists and turns of the very public battle between the It Ends With Us star and director. The special will provide a forensic look into the lead-up to the impending court cases.
The news follows Investigation Discovery and Paramount-owned Channel 5 teaming on a similar fast-turnaround doc from ITN Productions, which aired earlier this month. The twisty-turny saga has dominated trade headlines through 2025. A legal complaint brought against It Ends With Us director Baldoni by his co-star Lively alleged he engaged in sexual misconduct on the set of his film and hired a PR firm to engage in an online smear campaign against her to keep her quiet. Baldoni denies the allegations and has responded with a $400M countersuit, accusing Lively of defamation.

The show was on a Discovery+ UK slate that also includes a doc about Spain’s Luis Rubiales and Jenni Hermoso following the infamous kiss that overshadowed Spain’s win against England in the 2023 Women’s soccer World Cup. With Rubiales speaking for the first time since the media storm which led to his resignation in 2023, the first episode will analyse his side of the story. Episode two will see those closest to Hermoso, including teammate Laia Codina, discussing her side of the story and the issue of consent around the moment that Hermoso says, “stained one of the happiest days of my life.”
Both shows are being produced by At Home With the Furys producer Optomen and are part of a 50-hour Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) UK TV slate.
