Sometimes, it feels like products can take forever to get off the ground, especially in fashion, where trends move faster than the refresh speed of your feed. To build a collection, you need to construct an atelier. To sell the clothing, you need to build a flagship store. To shoot the looks, you need to develop an in-house TV studio. Well, Telfar did all of those things, and now their latest collection is here.
Titled “Infinity,” as a nod to both how long it took to produce the collection (3 years) and the longevity of the brand (forever, duh), each piece is purposefully made to be worn in a multitude of different ways. Ribbed tanks can be worn as tube tops, skirts, halters, and everything in between. Leggings, hoodies, and tees reveal unexpected cut-outs woven in between the brand’s signature distressed graphic logos.
Drop 1, which went live today, is also the start of a unique collection model. The pieces will be available in drops occurring from now until “infinity.” Included in the first drop is the brand’s all-new stretch denim. Declaring “the skinny jean is eternal,” the unisex indigo denim features contrast white stitching and is built to mold to anyone’s body. The denim is also used in Telfar’s first ever “Dumpling Bag” shape. The new silhouette is petite enough for the club but roomy enough to pull out a sneaky sandwich on the dance floor.
According to Telfar, The prices range from “oh” ($190 USD) to “wow” ($485 USD). Even more “wow,” if you come try on the collection in the store—and look amazing—the brand might just give you a pair of jeans for free. They’re calling it a “glitch,” NOT a guarantee. The first drop is now live on Telfar’s website and at its exclusive Soho flagship location.
